Bookcover design proposal for the book Sult (Hunger) by the writer Knut Hamsun. The novel tells the story of a writer that tries to survive in Oslo and illustrates his increasing frustration and illustration, getting more and more hungry, climaxing in a scene where he fights a buthchers dog for meat scraps in a backyad. I illustrated this frustration and misery of the protagonist by hand drawing both the protagonist, and his alter ego the dog in a rough sketch-like pencil style.
